In 2012, when I was starting QALO, we had absolutely no clue how on earth to build a website. I am definitely not technologically savvy when it comes to website design, and the thought of building one was incredibly daunting. That is when we stumbled (through a google search) onto Shopify. Immediately, the overwhelming nature of building a site vanished, and it became fun to choose a theme and a color palette that could best represent the brand we wanted to build.
Today, the current Shopify laughs and pats the 2012 Shopify on the head. The foundational themes give you more than enough to get started and the application store is so robust your head will spin. We kept talking about moving off the platform year after year and each time we did they improved enough to keep us there.
