If you are a leader, and the people who you are leading do not have the confidence to make decisions, that is on you, not them. “Make a decision” is a core value at QALO, but it doesn’t mean go around making decisions without preparation. It means, make a decision, but before you do, put the work in to gain all necessary information in order to make the best decision. Help your team with the process to prepare for a decision, and you will develop the trust to allow them to make the decision without you.
We then learn from the result of each decision and move on to the next one as a team. Stop micromanaging, and lead people to have the confidence to make decisions in your organization. You hired them.
